Meta Tags

Are codes of HTML inserted into the header of a web page that are designed to give directions or data to web browsers and search engines on various information. The tags are not visible to users as content. Meta tags are often used to specify keywords for a search engine to improve the quality of search results. The tags may also include information such as a description of the page, the program used to create the page or the author of the page.
