Content management system

Or web content management systems (WCMS) are a form of website management which streamline and simplify the process of creating and managing a website by eliminating much of the programming knowledge often involved in web design. Most WCMS use databases to store content and other data for the site and a set of templates to create the user interface. The system offers many capabilities such as document control, auditing, editing, and timeline management. Content can be updated and added without any programming knowledge and with little effort.
