SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO basically means hiring a company to optimize your company’s website so that Google provides it with a better page rank. But for the most part SEO services take time and the industry is constantly changing. That’s why it’s important to understand exactly what it means rather then taking someone's word for it.
There are two ways to increase your Google rank: organically and artificially. Ever wonder how really really really old web sites get to the top of Google? They get there because they have been around for ages (more like 20 years...) but Google looks at this as an organic list that over the years has constantly, for whatever reason, increased its link popularity or its content has become more important to the web community. For instance if you take a site about John McCain that was created back in 1995 it might have a better page rank now because of all the buzz about the campaigns. Organic listings simply mean you create the site, maintain it and let Google or whoever index and naturally attach a page rank to it. Now, personally I’m far too ADHD to wait for Google so I opt for the artificial page rank. This involves manipulating your website content, links and overall internet presence to look appealing to Google. It’s fairly simple but it takes a lot of time and for the most part you need to know what not to do. It’s also important to understand the Google algorithm and what changes in it. So if SEO seems easier and more profitable than doing it yourself or waiting for Google to organically increase your rank, you should consider having Spore Creative do an audit on your web presence. That way, you'll know where you stand in relation to your competition and overall page rank.
